The JAZZ/LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY Solo category registers 1 dancer to perform in the JAZZ/LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY category for The Dancer's Circle Competition on Saturday, November 21, 2026. Total performance time is a max of 3 minutes to the song of your choice. We will email details to you once your registration is received. Grades 6, 7, 8 will be enrolled in the Middle School Category and Grades 9,10,11,12 will be enrolled in the High School Category. We realize that there are various levels of talent in each category. Your performance will be adjudicated based on your overall entertainment/story telling value, choreography, and ability to accomplish the technique presented in your performance. You can register for as many categories as you like.

MUSIC RIGHTS REQUIRED
All dancers are responsible for their own music and must ensure they have the appropriate music rights before performing in the Dancer's Circle competition to avoid legal issues and ensure compliance with copyright laws. StageBender will require proof of rights prior to the competition. To legally use copyrighted music, dancers should first check with their dance studios to confirm that the rights to their solos are secured. Otherwise music rights may be obtained from the following organizations: (1) ASCAP - American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (2) BMI - Broadcast Music, Inc (3) SESAC - Society of European Stage Authors and Composers.
SUBMIT MUSIC
After students register, they will receive an email from StageBender with instructions on how to submit their solo performance music. Dancers are required to have a backup track on their phone for their own protection in case of any technical issues the day of the event. If any technical issues do occur, dancers will have the opportunity to start again using the back up track they provide.
